Funding decarbonisation and energy efficiency in the glass industry

British Glass Manufacturers' Confederation would like to invite you to a free workshop to discuss how to increase recycling of flat glass from building projects and the building supply chain in Scotland. This is linked to Zero Waste Scotland’s call for applications to the country’s £18 million Circular Economy Investment Fund – which is looking to fund initiatives to increase flat glass recycling.

The event will be hosted by Zero Waste Scotland and British Glass. It will be held at the brand new Construction Scotland Innovation Centre near Glasgow on Tuesday 24th October.

The event will bring together key stakeholders in Scotland, including glass and glazing manufacturers, window fabricators and fitters, construction and demolition contractors and recyclers. Guest speakers include Vlakglas, who operate the successful, nationwide flat glass recycling system in the Netherlands that collected 70,000 tonnes of cullet for remelt last year.
