Take immediate action if affected by the Carillion Collapse
With so much in the press about the the liquidation and subsequent fall-out of Carillion, the NFDC is offering access to one of its ISP members, Colin Hale from ADR Limited.
The NFDC has spoken to Colin this morning who offers the following advice "If any of our members have been hit by the Carillion debacle, please ask them to contact me for initial advice.
Whilst some of the debt might not be recoverable from Carillion, the nature of the industry will mean that it might well be possible to strike a deal with the incoming contractor or the Employer.
The contractor / employer will always try to get as much as he can for as little as he can. The Demolition Contractor should stay firm and resolute. The manner in which the discussions are conducted is crucial to getting optimum results and I have a great amount of experience in conducting such discussions."
When asked if there is a real possiblity of striking a deal Colin continues "Don't give up. Remember that all is not lost - keep a sensible head and stay focused on achieving a positive outcome".
Howard Button CEO of the NFDC adds "There is so much conflicting information out there at the moment. If you are affected by the failure of Carillion our advice is to take urgent action. Do not wait to see what happens. There are various advisory services out there, including ISP members Colin Hale ADR Limited."
