The CSCS Smart Check platform has reached its 60 millionth scan, reflecting its growing role in helping contractors and employers verify workforce qualifications and support compliance with the Building Safety Act.
Smart Check is the only platform capable of verifying all 2.3 million CSCS cards displaying the CSCS logo, providing a quick, secure way to ensure individuals have the correct card, training and qualifications for their role. The platform’s API is embedded in the site access and induction systems of major contractors, including Wates, Vinci, Balfour Beatty, Persimmon Homes and Taylor Wimpey, offering real-time insight into workforce skills and occupational trends.

The 60 millionth scan was completed by BAM, verifying a Craft card issued by the Electrotechnical Certification Scheme (ECS), a CSCS Alliance member.
The top three contractors by all-time scans are:
- Morgan Sindall – 10,071,903
- BAM – 7,517,199
- Galliford Try – 7,006,997
CSCS continues to enhance Smart Check reporting, including reason codes for pre-induction, induction and site access, as well as site IDs, giving contractors greater insight into where and how checks are carried out.
