In May 2026, the NFDC attended UK Construction Week as an event partner, joining leading organisations from across the built environment at London ExCeL for the three-day industry showcase.
The event brought together professionals from construction, demolition, infrastructure, manufacturing, and sustainability, creating opportunities for collaboration, networking, and discussion around the future of the industry.
Throughout the event, the NFDC hosted a dedicated exhibition stand, engaging with contractors, clients, training providers, manufacturers, and policy stakeholders to promote the important role demolition continues to play within the wider construction sector. Conversations focused on workforce competency, health and safety standards, career opportunities, and the value of responsible demolition practices in supporting the UK’s changing built environment.
As part of the event programme, the NFDC’s Strategic Membership Officer, Brian Carroll, delivered a presentation on the CCDO accreditation scheme, highlighting the importance of competency, recognised qualifications, and ongoing workforce development within the demolition industry. The presentation also explored how the scheme continues to support employers, operatives, and clients by helping maintain high standards across demolition projects nationwide.
The event provided a valuable platform for the Federation to strengthen industry relationships, raise awareness of demolition as a specialist discipline, and showcase the contribution NFDC members make to construction and regeneration projects across the UK.
We would like to thank all members, partners, and stakeholders who visited the NFDC stand and contributed towards the success of the event.
