With his entire career dedicated to the demolition industry, NFDC CEO Howard Button has more than just dabbled in the closely associated waste and recycling sector too. It is with passion that Howard has ensured the enviable recycling rates of NFDC Member Companies, famously developed the DRIDS database and website, whilst more recently working hand in hand with the Chartered Institute of Waste Management (CIWM) on guidance for hazardous wood waste.
The publication of the industry guidance comes after many years of campaigning, with hours spent encouraging and organising the testing of wood samples, to ensure that demolition contractors were able to correctly dispose of wood waste.
In recognition of his hard work and dedication, Howard has been awarded with Fellowship of the CIWM. Congratulations, Mr Howard Button FCIWM, for your well-deserved and honourable new title!
