The successful candidate will work alongside the incumbent CEO to ensure a smooth transition of responsibility and beneficial sharing of knowledge.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

National Federation of Demolition Contractors and National Demolition Training Group
Permanent, Full-time

The role and personal specification:

As Chief Executive Officer (CEO), you will be responsible for overall management of NFDC and NDTG. The role involves a high level of responsibility, requiring pivotal decision making and strategic thinking.

As the face of the company, you will represent the Federation and demolition industry at events and on working groups.

The CEO will work closely with the boards and leadership teams of NFDC and NDTG to provide strong leadership to both organisations.

You will have a proven track record of sound judgement and decisiveness.

You will be personable and adept at building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Travel within the UK will be required with overnight stays where necessary. Occasional travel outside the UK will also be required. This is a full-time permanent position based in our Hemel Hempstead head office.

Key Responsibilities:

Defining business strategies and priorities.

Ensuring high standards are maintained by NFDC, NDTG, and their members.

Coordinating key industry guidance and shared learning.

Leading working groups.

Delivering value to members and ensuring ongoing member satisfaction.

Attending all regional meetings, council meetings, AGMs, and Half-yearly business meetings of the NFDC and NDTG.

Senior stakeholder management.

Contributing to wider construction sector trade organisations and governing bodies on behalf of the demolition industry.

Heading up special projects, internally and in collaboration with external contributors.

Experience and Skills:

Extensive demolition industry knowledge.

Experience working as part of a trade association.

Demonstrable success in building and maintaining collaborative relationships and partnerships.

Exemplary Business leadership skills.

Critical thinking under pressure.

Eloquent and concise communication.

Event hosting and public speaking.
