NFDC President, Adrian Corrigan, has chosen Sue Ryder as his charity for a two-year partnership.
As someone who has lived in Peterborough all his life, Adrian has long recognised Sue Ryder as a prominent and deserving local charity, its presence in the community stretching back as far as he can remember. But it was a deeply personal experience last year, when a close friend was admitted for end-of-life care, that truly brought home the extraordinary compassion and care provided by the facility and its staff.
“The team were incredible,” Adrian reflects. “They went out of their way to ensure we could spend meaningful time with our friend during such a difficult moment. Their warmth and dedication made a lasting impact.”
It was also during this time that Adrian saw just how reliant Sue Ryder is on charitable donations to continue their essential work. Inspired by their selflessness and the vital role they play in the lives of so many, he proudly selected Sue Ryder as the NFDC President’s Charity for his term.
