This summer’s round of NFDC regional meetings once again highlighted the incredible generosity and community spirit of our members. We express our heartfelt thanks to everyone involved for their outstanding support and contributions to amazing causes .
L&SC: Members donated a generous £3,000 to In Sue’s Name. However, an additional £1000 each from member companies DDS, Brown and Mason, R Collard and Erith made the total donation £7000. This charity is dedicated to funding research and raising awareness about brain cancer, and the generous contribution will significantly aid their efforts to support patients and their families.
M&W: Members made impactful donations, including £2,000 to Dementia UK, which provides specialist support for families affected by dementia, and £1,000 to Rainbow Hospice Charity, offering care and support for children with life-limiting conditions. These contributions will help ensure that both charities can continue providing essential services to those in need.
S&NI: Recognising the ongoing need to support local communities, members donated to several food banks, with £250 each going to Cumbernauld Foodbank, Milnbank Food Pantry, Edinburgh Food Project, and West Lothian Foodbank. These contributions will help provide food and resources to families facing financial hardships.
These donations highlight our industry’s compassion and commitment to making a positive impact. We thank all members for their continued generosity and dedication.
