Long-time NFDC member, Connell Brothers Ltd. has been awarded the first demolition project through the new four-year £800 million NEPO Framework.
The NEPO Framework will support the ongoing drive to boost growth through the £108 million levelling up fund for the North East.
NEPO is a central purchasing body that procures services to local authorities and 800 associate members across the public sector including government departments, emergency services, education institutions, charities and registered social housing companies.
Sunderland City Council recently procured the Asbestos Removal and Demolition of the former Sunningdale School through the Framework.
The Connell Brothers team was successful in securing the project and already has works well underway.
Sunningdale School is the Children’s Services sole specialist provider for primary and nursery children with profound, multiple and severe learning needs within the City of Sunderland. The school recently relocated, with staff and pupils moving to a £13 million new build school at Doxford Park Way last year.
