“Mental health is defined as a state of well-being in which every individual realizes his or her own potential, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to her or his community.”
WELCOME TO THE HUB
The spectrum of issues that constitute Mental Health and Wellbeing can be overwhelming and with so much information and support now available, sometimes it can be hard to know where to look first, then there’s the challenge of finding the exact topic you need help with.
NFDC has made a long-term commitment to raising Mental Health Awareness in the demolition industry and ending the stigma surrounding this critical issue. Since signing the Building Mental Health Charter, NFDC has produced many valuable deliverables for demolition contractors – training courses for Managers and Ambassadors, posters, leaflets, toolbox talks and so on.
NFDC’s new Mental Health & Wellbeing Hub intends to provide you with a single resource centre where you can easily find the support items you’re looking for, without having to search across multiple websites. We’ve combined NFDC Mental Health & Wellbeing resources with signposting to third party resources – you’ll find a whole host of information, plus articles, videos, posters, helpline numbers and much more.
Our Hub, which is open access for anyone with an internet connection, is organised into resources for Employers, for Individuals, or for both. To make it easy to find what you’re looking for, we’ve grouped all resources by topic too.
We’ll keep on adding to the Hub, so why not bookmark this page and check back here often.
