Statements from NFDC and others like Build UK have been reinforcing the point that no-one should be required to travel or work if the social distancing requirements cannot be met. NFDC believe that no demolition contractor should be made to fear delay penalties and/or contractual or legal issues if they are raising genuine safety concerns to their client.
If the practicalities of carrying on and following government guidance are becoming increasingly difficult and your risk assessments are finding that it is not safe for your people to continue working on site, how do you tell your Client that you need to suspend operations?
NFDC is right behind you and we hope that this Letter of Support, provided in MS Word for you to edit with your company details, will assist you when communicating with your clients that your people must come first.
