NFDC March 2021 AGM Is Going Online

NFDC’s AGM event, originally rescheduled to take place at The Royal Lancaster on 26th March 2021, is once more not possible due to the ongoing situation with Covid-19.

It has been decided that we will instead hold our AGM online, via Zoom, on the same date. An Agenda and Joining Instructions for the meeting will follow in due course.

The team at Resurgam House is working with The Royal Lancaster to identify possibilities of deferring our booking until autumn, in the hope that we will be able to come together as a community for a special 80th anniversary luncheon event – assuming by then it is safe for us all to do so.

You may have noticed the absence of ‘calls for nominations’ for the NFDC Demolition Awards this year. It was decided that due to the pandemic – and also given that 2021 is a special year for NFDC marking eight decades since its inception – an NFDC Hall of Fame would be launched in lieu of the usual Awards. The Hall of Fame will recognise the many individuals who have contributed to the demolition industry over the years for this milestone anniversary year only, with the traditional NFDC Demolition Awards for companies and individuals returning in 2022.

We hope to see as many NFDC Members as possible joining us for the NFDC AGM via Zoom – of course it will be a far cry from the annual get-together and celebration we are accustomed to, but we firmly believe in the importance of membership connection, in whatever way we can, during these times.
