In March 2020, EDA launched a new survey in readiness for the annual European Demolition Industry Report for 2020, however, with the spread of the Covid-19 and the lockdown of many EU countries, the estimates for the current year and 2021 changed drastically. Instead of launching a survey which did not accommodate this drastic change, EDA prepared a separate impact survey and the subsequent report showed interesting conclusions, highlighting the different effects of Coronavirus on demolition in each European country.
In June 2020, it is noted that most countries have reactivated their business activity and demolition sites have reopened, therefore EDA is now relaunching their study for Contractors and Suppliers to produce the European Demolition Industry Report 2020.
The detailed survey will remain open for responses until 31st July 2020, with the report scheduled for publication in the Autumn. Only one response per demolition contractor organisation is required and all survey submissions are entirely anonymous.
NFDC Members represent a significant proportion of the UK demolition industry and their inputs are highly valued – we would be grateful if Members would endeavour to respond to the EDA survey by 31st July.
