NFDC Member, Brown & Mason, demolishes giant cooling towers in Rugeley

On Sunday 6th June 2021, NFDC Member Brown & Mason demolished four giant Staffordshire cooling towers via controlled collapse, taking down the last major component of the Rugeley B Power Station which closed in 2016. Watch as the towers tumble in the video below:

There are big plans for the site, owned by regeneration specialist ENGIE, including the development of thousands of new low-carbon homes, a school and, over the longer term, a riverside country park.
