1st April marks the start of Stress Awareness month 2021. The month long public awareness campaign has been running every April since 1992, however in its 29th year it is perhaps more relevant than ever with many of us feeling the effects of high levels of stress.
Stress can be caused by many different factors, including, but not limited to, the ongoing pandemic, job and financial concerns or worry for the health of family and friends. Whatever the cause, we can play our part by ensuring our employees know where to turn if they are struggling.
You can find out more about Stress and Burnout via NFDC’s all-new Mental Health & Wellbeing Hub on the Federation’s website – you’ll find information, self-test tools and videos here. You can also download NFDC posters from the Hub to use within your workplace.
All NFDC corporate members should by now have received a set of NFDC’s ‘Don’t Let Stress Weigh You Down’ posters in the mail. Please display these visual triggers in your offices, on your sites, in canteens and welfare units, to show that your company is supporting stress awareness month and that help is available. To request more copies, or to replenish stocks of other free of charge NFDC mental health resources, just email: firstname.lastname@example.org
NFDC is committed to raising awareness around mental health & wellbeing in the demolition industry and has placed strategic focus on reducing the stigma around mental health. We trust that Members will support this continuous campaign alongside us.
